Southampton Skip Hire online booking Terms and Conditions
The customer is responsible for any necessary lights required during the hours of darkness. We accept no liability for any damage caused if the customer(s) ask for the vehicle to be taken off the public highway. The customer shall also provide and clearly indicate to our driver a SAFE route FROM THE PUBLIC HIGHWAY to the point of discharge and the customer shall indemnify us, our servants and agents for any damage or injury resulting from any failure to do so.
An unsigned ticket is not a valid reason for non-payment of Invoice.
- Customers warrant that with respect to Each container ordered to be placed other than on private property the permission of the Highway Authority has been duly obtained under section 139 of the Highways Act 1980, and customers undertake that they will ensure that all the conditions subject to which the aforesaid permission is granted shall be observed at all times and in particular that will ensure that the container be appropriately lighted during the hours of darkness and that they are responsible for supplying lights and placing them round the container as required.
- Customers requesting or ordering our vehicles delivering or collecting containers to leave the public highway shall reimburse us in full in respect of any loss, costs, claims, damages or expenses we may thereby sustain whether as a result of damage to the vehicles themselves or the property of customers or third parties.
- Customers shall reimburse us in respect of any loss or damage to the containers whilst on hire to them from whatsoever cause the same may arise (fair wear and tear excepted). They shall also indemnified us in respect of any claims for injury to persons or property arising out of the use of our containers whilst on hire to them howsoever the same may be caused to arise.
- In addition to customers undertaking to observe at all times the conditions subject to which the permission of the Highway Authority is granted as aforesaid (including in particular the provision of lamps and traffic counts) if containers are sited anywhere else where they are likely to be a contributory cause of damage or injury to third parties during the hours of darkness customer shall provide adequate warning lights on the containers and they shall also ensure the safe loading of material into the containers.
- Skips must not be moved once position by our vehicle.
- No burning of waste in containers. A renewal fee will be charged.
- Containers must not be loaded above the top of the sides.
- Containers must not contain (unless previously agreed).
- Asbestos
- Tree roots
- Tyres
- Fridges/freezers
- Hazardous wastes; as defined by, 1996 Special Waste Regulations and (H.W.D.)
- Pc monitors or TVs.
- Any waste found in skip which is not authorised will automatically incur a charge and be taken off of the card.
Delivery
We aim to deliver all orders on the date you require however if it is not possible to deliver on your preferred date a Company representative will contact you.
Restrictions
No fires in containers, level loads only. Skip hire charge include up to 7 days hire.
No asbestos, No fridges, no freezers, no TVs, no monitors, no liquid waste, no tyres or any other hazardous materials as defined from time to time by the environmental agency. (Unless by Prior Arrangement).
Cancellation
We will refund on a scale of :
More than 4 days notice - 90% of total hire charge
1-3 days notice - 50% of total hire charge
Less than 24 hours' notice - 0% of total hire charge
